The church was originally based purely on volunteerism to allow all Christians to survive during the extremely hard times of Rome’s fall. Today we see a new Roman Empire and its decline and fall. This makes it a very good idea to seek out Christ’s ways of the early church before the days of corruption lead us to very difficult circumstances.
