Paul Bethke is guest host of “Keys of the Kingdom” while Brother Gregory visits Cape Cod, Massachusetts during the 2011 His Holy Church Whirlwind Tour. Brother Paul continues reading from the book, The Higher Liberty, and begins this week in the section titled, “1Peter 2:13” and also reads sections, “Supreme, Higher, Better, Excellence”, “Unheard Cries”, “Titus 3:1”, “Obey Magistrates”, “Be the Magistrate”, “Public Servants”, “Elders”, “The Office of Diakonos”, “Deaconus of Ten”, “Union and Discipline”, “Executive Officers” and finishes the broadcast reading the first paragraphs of “The Apostolic Church”.

*[00:08:25] Pastors tell people that Rom 13 and 1 Peter 2:13 mean we have to obey the statist government
[00:09:30] 1 Peter 2:13 refers to your conduct among foreign nations when performing pure religion and they falsely accuse you of doing evil and so that your good works will bring glory to God
[00:12:50] If you have an agreement to eat at Caesar’s table, you must honour that oath
[00:13:10] Ps 69:22 refers to your welfare becoming a snare if you partake in the religion of the State, the social security system of the world

[00:21:14] Titus 3:1is often misinterpreted to deceive us, but we should always remember that we need to return to the liberty given to us by God from the beginning
[00:29:40] The word ‘magistrates’ in Titus 3 was added by the translators, but may mean that we are to obey God
*[00:31:00] The elders of those days acted as magistrates and settled disputes among the people. The people were told not to sue their bothers at law
[00:31:40] Christians had their own governments and managed their own affairs without deferring to the power of the State
[00:34:20] Corporations of men are institutions of men made in their own image. The family is the institution that God made
[00:37:00] Since the days of Cain’s city-state, God has always since then tried to return every man to his family and possession
[00:37:55] The workers manning the offices of service of the Kingdom are paid by voluntary contributions
[00:42:30] Deacons served 10 families to keep them free by faith, hope and charity
*[00:44:00] Deacons operated as welfare officers for their congregations
*[00:49:00] The Apostolic Church reading
*[0052:20] The mission of the Church is to take care of the needy of the Christian society
